Jim Carrey bid his final farewell to his late girlfriend Cathriona White on Saturday. He attended her funeral service and helped carry her coffin at her hometown in Ireland.

Carrey was one of the six pallbearers during the procession from the Old Lady of Fatima Church to the local cemetery in Cappawhite. Irish Mirror reported that White was buried beside her late father Pat, who died of brain cancer in 2012.

The actor attended the funeral wearing a black suit. He, however, did not speak about White at the memorial service. But, after the memorial service, he posted a photo on Twitter, with the caption “Love cannot be lost." In the photo, Carey and his late girlfriend are seen gazing into each other’s eyes.

After White's death, Carey had conveyed his shock and sadness via a statement. "I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt,” he said.

Carrey and his daughter flew to Dublin ahead of the funeral and offered all the help that White’s family needed. CNN reported that the actor was one of the 300 people who attended White's funeral.

White, 30, was found dead inside her home in Sherman Oaks, California on Sept. 28. It was reported that she committed suicide, as four different bottles of medicine and a suicide note were found near her body.

Days before her death, White posted a message on her Twitter account. “Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest. to yo all,” she wrote.

White and Carrey had an on and off relationship. According to reports, White was married at the time of her death, but she was separated from her husband and intended to file for divorce.
