CD Projekt Red has released the 1.10 patch for “Witcher 3." This includes over 600 changes in the game.

The fixes include a huge array of changes in quest corrections, performance optimization which will make gameplay smoother on PC and consoles. It also includes updates for increasing game stability and additional conversations for key characters in the game to enhance gameplay experience. The patch also fixes the problem of dealing inventory items by improving the way items are ordered and sorted.

CD Projekt Red released a full breakdown of the 1.10 patch in a thirteen-page PDF file, reported PCGaamer. Although the update does not bring significant changes to the game, yet it covers a huge amount of changes that improve the gameplay experience. Not all the changes have been amended into the PDF and the list of quest updates alone takes up six pages.

The notable changes include a fix for the game running on a PC where the application would automatically run on compatibility mode. It also fixes crashes occurring on hardware configurations incorporating AMD Radeon R9 285 cards. It also addresses a GeForce GTX 980 specific issue. Game freeze problems occurring when players alt-tab out of the game in fullscreen mode have also been fixed.

Console versions of the game facing memory management issues and mini freezes on Xbox One have also been resolved. The update also fixes a game stability issue when loading game saves. The download will vary between six to15 GB in size depending on the distribution platform.

However, the developer has also noted that "The Witcher 3" patch 1.10 also brings a couple of bugs, as detailed over its official website. Some items, specifically DLC items in New Game, are disappearing in some players' games. According to CD Projekt Red, players should first hold on to saves from before the latest patch. A follow-up fix has already been released via Steam and GoG.

The affected DLCs include the Temerian Armour Set, Beard and Hairstyle Set, Nilfgaardian Armour Set, New Quests Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear, Contract: Skellige's Most Wanted And Where th Cat and Wolf Play, Elite Crossbow Set and Skellige Armour Set. For now, hotfixes for consoles are yet to be dated.
