CES 2014 is one of the biggest tech show next year and probably a good event to show off next-generation smartphones. Aside from wearables, televisions and computers, there are five expected guests to present their welcoming products for 2014.

Samsung Galaxy S5

One of the most anticipated to smartphones for 2014 and it may appear at the CES event. YOUM prototype display appeared at CES 2013 which features flexible material that may be used on several electronic devices. Samsung Galaxy S5 isn't confirmed if YOUM would be its primary display after the company previewed future smartphones using Galaxy Round.

Galaxy S5 rumoured specifications include 64-bit Exynos 6 octa-core processor, Android 4.4 KitKat, 3 to 4 GB of RAM and 2K display of 560 ppi pixel density.

Sony Xperia Z2 'Avatar'

Sony may give birth to the Avatar smartphone at the CES 2014 called Xperia Z2 which rumoured to have Triluminos IGZO display screen, 4K video resolution capture, Android 4.4 KitKat, 20.7 MP Sony G lens with Carl Zeiss optics and the classic water/dust resistance feature.

It is yet to confirm if Xperia Z2 will boast the upcoming new processor from Qualcomm.

Microsoft Surface and Nokia Smartphones

Microsoft just bought Nokia which they could use to empower Windows Phone market against Android OS and iOS. Microsoft and Nokia may do a comeback at CES 2014 with brand new Lumia flagship and new Surface computer running Windows 8.1 or something we haven't seen before.

LG Flex Technology

Wolverine's blood just got in LG G Flex to heal minor scratches within minutes. Similar with Galaxy Round, LG G Flex features bendable properties but more on visual purposes to create immersive viewing on gaming and movies.

We may expect something new with G Flex technology to their rumoured G Pad or television at CES 2014.

Another HTC Smartphone?

HTC just released One Max in October 2013 and likely may not unveil something yet at CES 2014. Android 4.4 KitKat update will make the company for rollout schedule on HTC One family and additional Droid DNA.

HTC may also reconsider some firmware upgrades for former flagship smartphones such as One X and One X+ next year. But HTC fans shouldn't give up easily for CES isn't the only event for 2014.

Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z2 are expected to go head-on against each other and versus Apple's iPhone 5S for 2014 but until they are out, we cannot tell which smartphone is really the best for coming year.
