CBS sources have told TMZ that the network has its hands tied and cannot possibly rehire actor, Charlie Sheen as earlier speculated following reports that the networks executive officials are still holding out hopes that they could bring “Men” back on air with Charlie in it.

Citing reports by the celebrity news website, Aceshowbiz noted that the show’s co-creator, Chuck Lorre has even making himself busy conducting his own meetings in hopes for possible re-casting of America’s hit TV series.

The sources maintained that Charlie’s name has never been mentioned in any of the meetings being initiated by Lorre, who has been the target of Charlie’s personal attacks when he launched his media tour in late February and has continued until recently.

The actor has even filed a $100-million lawsuit against Lorre who he accused was the man behind his termination from “Two and a Half Men’ though made official by Warner Bros.

Another CBS executive, the network’s President and CEO, Les Moonves has been reportedly trying to talk to Warner Brothers to take Charlie back.

A separate report filed by IBTimes noted that Moonves is keen on bringing back “Two and a Half Men” back on air with Charlie Sheen in it. [Read IBTimes Full Report]

The chances of Charlie getting his old job back has increasingly grown thinner with more names popping out as his possible replacement.

Citing the exclusive report by RadarOnline, IBTimes said that Jeremy Piven is now being eyed to be the next Charlie Harper for “Men’.

The same IBTimes report also emphasized that the “Entourage” actor has not been informed of any plans to get him on board for America’s most-watched television show.
