The cheapest known dual-core Android Jelly Bean smartphone is the Galaxy S3 mini which resembles its big brother that has a price tag of A$246 online. Google Nexus costs similar to Galaxy S3 mini but run Android 4.2 OS and has quad-core processor. If you want low-cost Jelly Bean, what would be the best for you?

1. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2

The second generation of the Galaxy Ace released in 2012 running Android 2.3 Gingerbread is now upgradable for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Its performance is supported by dual-core 800MHz processor and 768MB of RAM. Galaxy Ace 2 costs as low as A$163 per unit.

2. Sony Xperia E

If you want something for latest, this Xperia device runs 4.1 Jelly Bean, powered by 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. Xperia E also has 3.15MP camera and 4GB internal storage with SD card expansion slot. Sony Xperia E costs being at A$190.

3. HTC One X
