“Mourinho talks a lot about a lot of people, but I prefer to talk about facts. At Liverpool, with a squad half of the value of Chelsea, we twice knocked his Chelsea side out of the Champions League.” - Rafa Benitez Reuters

Napoli boss Rafa Benitez has been in a word war with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho since the latter took the helm at Stamford Bridge last summer.

The Portuguese mentor lashed out not-so-sweet words against the former Liverpool overseer, claiming that the Blues were able to come out with a mediocre 2012/13 season in spite of winning the Europa League.

For his part, Benitez believes that Mourinho talks mostly rubbish that loses touch with reality.

"Mourinho talks a lot about a lot of people, but I prefer to talk about facts. At Liverpool, with a squad half of the value of Chelsea, we twice knocked his Chelsea side out of the Champions League," Benitez told the Mirror.

He also refreshed the former Real Madrid boss' memory of his failure at the Bernabeu despite having all the resources in the world, so to speak.

"Later, with the most expensive squad at Real Madrid, he did nothing in the Champions League. Now he says if there is an offer of hundreds of millions for Hazard and Oscar, maybe he can build a strong squad to win something," he added.
