Chelsea winger Eden Hazard thinks that his club and Belgium football national team teammate Kevin De Bruyne should leave Chelsea to ensure himself of a more secured slot at the World Cup Finals in Brazil in 2014.

De Bruyne started for Belgium in a losing 2-0 effort against Colombia on Thursday, but was subbed 13 minutes after the break.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho watched from the stands as De Bruyne struggled to produce goals on the pitch.

The 22-year-old, who only started four games for The Blues this season, has already made known of the fact that he interested of the thought of having him loaned out again, to earn more opportunities in playing at club level.

"For sure, playing at a World Cup without having been in action for a year, I think that's very difficult," Hazard, commenting on De Bruyne's status, said on Belgian TV.

"I think for him that leaving and playing, that would be good."

"If we want to get the best out of Kevin, I think that it's best if he leaves."

Schalke may be a potential suitor as manager Jens Keller expressed admiration for De Bruyne's capabilities, with the hopes of strengthening his side on January.

"Kevin de Bruyne is a good player, he holds tremendous quality," Keller told Bild, as cited in Sky Sports.

"It's a fact we would rather sign than sell players during the January 2014 transfer window."
