Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi may be headed to Chelsea or Manchester City in the summer.

Matuidi's contract with PSG is about to expire after the season, which sparked interest from big clubs to sign the 15-time capped Frenchman.

He helped the Les Parisiens win the Ligue 1 in the 2012/13 season, starting 35 games, while scoring 5 goals in the process.

Matuidi also started 9 Champions League games, finding the back of the net twice and playing the role of provider once.

"I am really at ease at PSG." Matuidi told L'Equipe 21.

"My first wish would be to stay. But you can wish for something and sometimes it doesn't happen."

"The club has a special place in my heart, but anything can happen in a career."

Chelsea and City are the leading candidates at the moment to sign Matuidi on a free transfer due to PSG's failure to speedily extend his contract.

He would be a quite a steal should the aforementioned free-transfer happen because of the 26 year-old's quality and creativity in the middle of the park.
