Radamel Falcao netted the first goal in front of Jose Mourinho at the Koning Boudewijnstadion in Brussels, en route to a 2-0 Colombia win against a highly-rated Belgium team, which sparked rumours that Chelsea are interested in securing the striker's signature.

"He came here to see good football played by good teams, a good spectacle," Falcao, talking to the Daily Star, spoke of Mourinho's presence.

"I don't know if he was impressed by what he saw - I hope I made a good impression on him."

Falcao, who signed with Ligue 1 outfit Monaco in the summer for a whopping €60 million and was then reported to receive €14 million in wages annually, said that money was never in his mind when made the deal.

On the contrary, it seems like cash was the primary consideration when he chose to depart to Monaco, as he now ambitions to move to Stamford Bridge to seek the quality of football enjoyed in the English Premier League despite implicitly denying it at the moment.

"The Premier League is one of the most important leagues in the world, but I'm playing well and enjoying Monaco at the moment."

In any case, Chelsea may have to shell out, at least, £60 million to convince the French club to sell the deadly striker, while matching or topping his current wages to lure him away.
