After signing with Chelsea in 2012, Brazilian international Oscar has since displayed fantastic performances wearing the blue uniform at Stamford Bridge.

There was much speculation when a managerial shift took place, but Oscar proved that he can quickly adjust to any given task at hand.

"Last year I spent a lot of time on the wing, but this season, although I have played out wide, I've mainly been used in the middle," Oscar told chelseafc.com.

"It gives me a bit more freedom to express myself but I know how to play in all those positions and I'm very happy with how it's going so far."

"I've always been able to apply pressure in midfield, since my days in Brazil, that's why I came to Europe so early. That helps me a lot, especially in England, because it's a fast league so it benefits me. Being able to do that has made it easier to adjust to the nature of the Premier League."

Playing for a club like Chelsea definitely has its perks, but there is also a constant pressure that players must perform at his optimum potential every time they set foot on the pitch.

"The pressure is the same if you begin the game or come off the bench," he disclosed.

"When you start the match you have to give your best and do everything to help the team win the game. The players on the bench have to come into the game and try to help improve the team, regardless of what the score is at that time or how the team are performing."

The pressure is, however, alleviated, thanks to current boss Jose Mourinho.

"I don't feel any pressure on my shoulders. The manager makes me feel comfortable so I'm able to give my best in every game. If I play as well as I know I can then I know I will be an important member of the team and help us win matches," he added.

Oscar has been known to provide creativity upfront and score fantastic goals from distance, but above that, the selfless Brazilian's main concern is the team's overall performance.

"I've played the majority of matches and hopefully I'll be able to continue in the same way right up until the end of the season to make sure the team are as successful as possible," said Oscar.

His family has also settled-in well with their new life in England, a fact which delights Oscar and transcends to his performance on the pitch.

"I'm very happy, my family are very happy and we've all adapted well in London. I've adjusted and hopefully that is shining through on the football pitch," he intimated.
