Chris Rock, Lake Bell Fuel Dating Rumors With Dinner Outing
Chris Rock and Lake Bell added fuel to rumors that they are an item.
Rock, 57, and Bell, 43, were spotted leaving celebrity hot spot Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California, Saturday night.
In exclusive photographs obtained by Page Six, the comedian wore a white sweater with matching white pants and brown dress shoes for the dinner date. He also had aviator sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Bell donned an all-black ensemble featuring a wrap top with a plunging neckline and black jeans. She paired her outfit with slingback heels and styled her brunette tresses in loose waves.
The pair arrived at the restaurant at around 8:45 p.m. and dined for almost two hours, unnamed sources told Page Six.
One eyewitness said the two were holding hands when they walked out of the upscale Italian restaurant. However, they reportedly let go of each other's hands when they saw photographers.
Last month, Rock and Bell were spotted together at Busch Stadium in St. Louis for a Cardinals game. Footage obtained by TMZ showed them hanging out in a box together at the time.
While the "Spiral" actor has kept his romantic life under wraps, he hasn't been shy when it comes to cracking jokes about the infamous 2022 Oscars slap. Will Smith smacked him onstage during the 94th Academy Awards in March after the comedian joked about Jada Pinkett Smith's bald head.
"I’m OK, if anybody was wondering," Rock said during his "Ego Death" show at the U.K.’s Royal Albert Hall in May. "I got most of my hearing back."
He noted that he wouldn't be discussing the altercation between him and the "Men in Black" star further — at least not until he secured a comedy special.
"People expect me to talk about the bulls–t. I’m not going to talk about it right now. I’ll get to it eventually — on Netflix," he said at the time. "Anyone who says 'words hurt' — has never been punched in the face."
Rock dated Megalyn Echikunwoke for four years before they split in March 2020. An anonymous source told Page Six that he wasn't ready to settle down after a painful divorce from his wife of 18 years, Malaak Compton-Rock, was finalized in 2016.
"Getting divorced, you have to f–king start over," he told Rolling Stone in 2017. "You get to reset. It’s not a breakdown, but something in your life broke down."
