Steve Jobs' fans may be expecting a new biopic after the 2013 film "Jobs" with Ashton Kutcher playing the lead role. This time, "Batman" actor Christian Bale is set to play the legendary Apple co-founder although he did not provide any statement about the offer yet.

The new Steve Jobs movie does not have a concrete title yet, but the script is reportedly written by Oscar-winning Aaron Sorkin who also drafted the Facebook drama, "The Social Network" based on the authorized best-selling autobiography by Walter Isaacson.

Isaacson's biography is the most credible resource about Jobs' life, with 40 interviews with Jobs himself and others from family and friends.

In August 2013, the movie "Jobs" grossed about 35 million worldwide, receiving 27 percent rating from Rotten Tomatoes. The new biopic will be produced by Sony. Unlike the previous film, the movie is speculated to receive better audience interest considering the studio's marketing capabilities and the A-listers who are expected to be working behind.

With the screenplay written by Sorkin based on the biography written by an author who had the privilege to communicate with Jobs during his final days, the film will consist of scenes regarding Apple's product launches, including its first flagships: the Mac, NeXT and the iPod, according to The Wrap report.

Director David Fincher known for directing the "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is expected to be working in the film. Although he did not confirm in doing the film, he is considering it only if Christian Bale will take the lead role.

Before even Aaron Kutcher took the role, Bale had been highly considered to play Jobs because of his acting chops that could justify the difficult role. Bale is reportedly not contacted for the role yet and currently taking as short break after finishing the filming of another Bible-based movie, "Exodus," where he plays Moses' role.

If Bale and Fincher would decide to work on the new Steve Jobs movie, production may likely begin the end of 2014 or early 2015 considering Bale's schedule for the upcoming promotion of his new movie. Fincher has the 2014 film "Gone Girl" to promote.
