After two weeks of sneak peeks by developer Supercell, the massive update coming to city-building sim “Clash of Clans” finally has a release date and players should expect it soon. Aside from a solid release date, Supercell also revealed yet another addition coming to “Clash of Clans” when the update hits.

In a new announcement made by Supercell, the alleged biggest update coming to the game will launch this Dec. 10. As such, players still have some time to save up some sources for upgrading before the update hits. Supercell also revealed a new defensive structure coming with the Town Hall 11 update, the Eagle Artillery, Touch Arcade reports.

The Eagle Artillery is a defensive structure that has the biggest range in “Clash of Clans.” In fact, its range spans to about the entire 44 x 44 map of “Clash of Clans.” However, despite its range, the Eagle Artillery has its drawbacks. Around the Eagle Artillery is a short dead-zone. This dead-zone is an area in which the structure can’t attack units. As such, players should place the Eagle Artillery well to maximise the damage it could cause to incoming attackers.

Another drawback of the Eagle Artillery is that it is activated only when a set number of units have entered the village. This is another factor that makes the structure unique as other defensive buildings activate whenever a player attacks, regardless of unit count.

There are a lot of new additions coming to “Clash of Clans” this Dec. 10. Most of the changes are for major parts of the gameplay including a revamped looting system, the Village Guard and the enlarged 44 x 44 map.

Perhaps the highlights of the update are the new upgrades and units waiting for players. The update will bring forth the level 7 minion and a new hero, the Grand Warden.
