Coldwood Interactive reveals release date, new trailer of ‘Unravel’
“Unravel,” the adorable puzzle-platformer developed by Coldwood Interactive is coming in February next year. Game publisher Electronic Arts announced that “Unravel” will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
Yarny, the game’s protagonist, made his first appearance at the E3 2015, where “Unravel” was first showcased. Yarny is a tiny adorable character made from a single thread of yarn. Along with the Yarny, the game Swedish developer Martin Sahlin shared a few details about the game. Now with a new announcement via PlayStation Blog, Dan Mitre, Community Manager on Unravel announced that the game is coming next year on Feb. 9.
Along with the game release announcement, the developer introduced a new story trailer for the game. Featuring a resolution of 1080p and 60fps gameplay footage, the trailer explores the beautiful environments of northern Scandinavia. The new trailer brings people closer to Yarny’s life and his abilities. The “Unravel” trailer shows Yarny swinging across gaps, solving some advanced physics-based puzzles. According to the statement from the game publisher EA, the story of “Unravel” is "an adventure to reconnect the bonds of love."
“We put together a new trailer to celebrate the release date announcement, filled with new footage of the puzzles and environments you’ll come across as you guide Yarny on an adventure,” said Martin Sahlin, Creative director, Coldwood Interactive in official blog post for Unravel.
“Unravel” will be available for US $19.99 (approx. AU $28) in North America on February 9 on the PS4, PC and Xbox One. Xbox One owners who will subscribe to EA Access will be able to play “Unravel” prior to its official release. The Xbox Owners will also enjoy a 10 percent discount on the price of the game. The game is also available for preorders on official website of “Unravel.”
