Couple Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez has officially revealed that they are expecting a baby boy. The 46-year-old actress now proudly shows off her growing baby bump while proud and excited French daddy claims that his son will have American citizenship.

"My son will be an American but I will remain French," the 47-year-old soon-to-be daddy shared to People magazine during the opening night of Champs-Elysées Film Festival in Paris.

The actor further added: "I remain a Frenchman in America but I adapt to American culture. I feel good there but I'm still a foreigner." Halle Berry was able to spend some time in her partner's home country of France as Oliver Martinez pointed out during the film festival how different the media treatment is between the two countries.

Olivier Martinez is happy to embrace the American culture as he looks forward to having a new family life in the United States. The couple has already been keeping their personal life as private as possible and away from the nosy paparazzi.

In 2012, Halle Berry filed an appeal to allow her to transfer and live permanently in France with Olivier Martinez and her 5-year-old daughter Nahla. However, ex-boyfriend Garbriel Aubry opposed to Halle's petition as he fought for his rights as a father to Nahla.

The family currently resides in California after Halle Berry lost to the custody battle case. The actress talked about the appeal during an interview and maintained that she had no desire whatsoever to cut Gabriel Aubry out of her daughter's life.

"We both know a child needs both her parents. But what I want to say about it is sometimes, as a couple, you reach an impasse. We needed a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues, and I'm so happy we've arrived at that place," Berry shared to US television program "Extra."

Halle and Gabriel ended their relationship in 2010 after dating for five years. That same year, the actress met French actor Olivier Martinez while filming "Dark Tide" and the couple started dating. Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez became officially engaged in March 2012.
