Daddy Lohan Free, Says Girlfriend Just Wants To Make Money

Michael Lohan, the estranged father of the estranger actress Lindsay Lohan, faced a Florida court for his charges on domestic violence. After creating a lot of buzz, trying to escape the police in his hospital gown, he was set free Wednesday afternoon after posting bail of $5,000.

According to the 51-year old Lohan, he is innocent of all his girlfriend Kate Major's charges and she is just out to create publicity to make money. The serious accusations include him grabbing her and consistently pushing her down as they argue at her condominium in Tampa.

Michael Lohan told reporters when he left jail that they were arguing about a friend of Majors' who seems to be a bad influence to her. When he reached the point of finally getting over with it, she panicked, thinking that she would be stuck with all the financial burdens without Lohan, he said.

He also denied that he hurt his girlfriend by throwing a remote control and threatening to throw her out of their balcony.

On-and-off girlfriend Major still allowed him to stay even she already had a temporary domestic violence order against in Sarasota County. She is an ex-reporter for Star Magazine.

Lohan was released from the Orient Road Jail at 6 p.m. He was ordered by the judge to stay away from the 28-year-old girlfriend.
