A few video recordings for the role of Elektra in season two of “Daredevil” have been leaked online. This audition tapes reportedly give a tease to the possible addition of the character in the new season.

Twitter user Marvel_Spider initially announced on his May 26 post that he “might have found some Elektra auditions.” He then uploaded three recordings to his Vimeo page. Unfortunately, these videos no longer exist.

However, Comicbookmovie managed to reveal the contents of the video audition tapes. According to the site, Elektra and a possible criminal victim could be seen having some kind of conversation. Then there’s also a conversation between Matt Murdock and Elektra while in college. Per Comicbook, the conversation was more of Elektra flirting with Matt back in college. “These probably won't make it into the show of course, but might give us an idea of what to expect from Marvel's take on the assassin,” writer Josh Wilding said.

The leaked audition tapes reportedly also gave an idea on what type of actress Marvel and Netflix may want to cast for the role of Elektra. According to Wilding, “both women” in the video looked “very exotic.” According to Comicbook, Elektra was alluded to in the first season of “Daredevil” when Foggy teased Matt about his interest on a gorgeous Greek woman back when they were in college. This woman is said to be Elektra. Comicbook also provided a transcription of the said audition on its site.

According to IGN, actress Louisa Mignone (“Wish You Were Here”) and another woman named Shiva Kalaiselvan were in the video. While Marvel_Spider claimed the videos were for an Elektra audition, per IGN the videos clearly claim the women were auditioning for a character in “Daredevil” named Elise.

There’s no word yet if Elektra will indeed be featured in season two of “Daredevil.” However, if lead star Charlie Cox was to choose then he’d definitely cast the character.

Charlie Cox was asked during an interview with Screenrant about which Marvel characters he would want to have a cameo appearance in the season two of “Daredevil.” The actor, who plays as Matt Murdock in the series, said he would “like Elektra to turn up.”
