Apart from Broadway and 'Glee,' Darren Criss gets adored by someone else more important and that is none other than the President of the United States, Barack Obama.

Criss performed for the President during a fundraiser event for the LGBT community held in Hollywood last June 5. Darren Criss was the last minute replacement for Pink who had to be rushed to the hospital due to a stomach flu.

Criss performed in front of around 600 hundred people where he performed four songs along with his original hit, 'Not Alone.' As the President was in town as well to raise funds for his campaign for re-election, he mentioned Criss and thanked the 'Glee' star for being an amazing talent.

Other 'Glee' stars who were on the show included Jane Lynch and Max Adler who plays the role of Karofsky. A private fundraiser was also held at the house of the creator of 'Glee' Ryan Murphy together with his fiancé, David Miller.

Criss expressed his heartfelt thanks over Twitter and said how much he has been grateful to everyone of his supporters.

Darren Criss has launched an independent EP last 2010 called 'Human.' He is a signed artist of Sony Music Entertainment and looking forward to releasing a full length album.
