David Beckham To Celebrate 40th Birthday In Morocco With Family And Friends On May 2

The Beckhams are all excited to celebrate David Beckham’s milestone 40th birthday on May 2 in Marrakech in Morocco. The retired footballer will usher in his birthday in style along with buddies Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, director Guy Ritchie and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. The weekend birthday bash will take place at David’s favourite luxury resort Amanjena resort on the outskirts of Marrakech, according to Hello.

The former England captain’s friendship with the “Mission Impossible” star dates back to the time when he and Victoria lived in America. The long-time friends were last seen together at David’s ‘Haig Club’ whiskey launch party scaling Wellington Arch in London in March along with their friend Guy. The guest list for his birthday also includes David’s former teammate from Manchester United Gary Neville, his best friend Dave Gardner with his girlfriend Liv Tyler. So the Beckhams do will have several A-listers rubbing shoulders with each other.

A source told The Sun that he will turn 40 only once, so he wants to do it in style. Besides, Morocco is a place close to his heart, the insider revealed. David and Victoria had enjoyed a romantic vacation in the luxury resort way back in 2004 where they renewed their vows. Set amidst an oasis of palm and olive trees, the hotel boasts of a 27-hole golf course, a luxury Moroccan Spa with two Turkish-style hammams. Besides, the hotel has a 33-metre pool, a two-storey Library and an authentic Moroccan and Mediterranean restaurant to cater to his guests. The five star resort which resembles an ancient Sultan’s palace has 32 Morocco style pavilions and seven two-storey maisons.

Meanwhile, Victoria Beckham is busy getting her wardrobe ready for her husband’s big day. The fashion designer who celebrated her 41st birthday on April…is pondering over the perfect ensemble for the weekend bash. The mum-of-four took to Instagram on April 29 and posted a picture of Yves Saint Laurent cerise shirt in orange and pink. “What to wear in Marakesh?Vintage Yves Saint Laurent,” she captioned the picture with a hashtag DV40. Initially David wanted to celebrate his milestone birthday by going back to his Essex hometown and throwing a party for his family and childhood friends and neighbours, where he would serve a “chip shop dinner”. David has jetted off to the African city along with his dad while his family will be joining him later.
