Celebrity couple David and Victoria Beckham are among the first few stars invited in the upcoming Royal Wedding at Abbey Westminster and will be attending the lunchtime buffet to be hosted by the Queen.
The Beckhams, according to The Daily Mail, are among the 1900 highly prominent guests approved by the Queen and Prince Charles to grace the so- called “Wedding of the Century”.
Prince Charles and footballer, David Beckham have reportedly hit it off when they met in South Africa at the World Cup, last year. Citing unidentified insiders.
The Daily Mail said that the Prince who is the President of the Football Association and the popular athlete ‘get on like a house on fire, professionally and personally’ when they met at the cup.
Prince William and David have also reportedly led the bid for the 2018 World Cup, though it did not materialize.
Mrs. Beckham and the future Prince’s bride has shared their taste in fashion. Kate had apparently shown interest in Victoria’s autumn/winter 2011 line at New York Fashion Week.
“Apparently, she likes my clothes and has asked to see a selection,”, the former Spice-girl was quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.
Victoria has revealed this month that she is sending Kate a selection of dresses.
“I admire her tremendously. She’s a beautiful young girl. She has a wonderful figure and I think she wears clothes beautifully,” Victoria said of Kate.
David and Victoria are believed to be invited in the ceremony on April 29 and they are expected to be asked for lunchtime buffet that will be attended by 600 guests only. The buffet will be hosted by the Queen herself, at the Buckingham Palace.
It is not clear however, if the Beckhams are included in the list of the highly selected guests for dinner dance, believed to be attended by only 300 guests and will be hosted by Prince Charles.
