'DayZ' Standalone 0.44 Now Stable with Patch Notes from Forums by Bohemia
"DayZ" Standalone developmental road map has been maintained by Bohemia Interactive. Plans were outlined to release at least one stable patch for the company's popular zombie survival game every month, with the latest patch having a number of noteworthy changes.
A week after the "DayZ" Standalone v0.44 was pushed to experimental servers, Bohemia Interactive released the latest in the series of its monthly updates. This month's patch for "DayZ" comes with changes that have been demanded by fans for months already.
Similar to other game's logs, the newest "DayZ" patch notes were released by Bohemia Interactive producer Brian Hicks, who is one of the most publicly active members of the "DayZ" Standalone team. Majority of the patch notes focused on various fixes. Explorers will be happy to learn that Karmanovka has been added into the map and the Ash Tree texture to bring visual diversity to the forested areas of the map. Furthermore, this week's stable update also adds a fair amount of new gear, which includes new tracksuit, crossbows, semi-functional binoculars and craftable bows. The team also took time to give players frying pan and cooking pot their own attack animations which might increase the number of possible melee weapons at player's preference while delivering a more realistic feel to the game.
On the other hand, Hicks warn players that the additional changes might be made to the newest "DayZ" change log, if the programming team reveals an alteration that the "DayZ" producer forgot to include, not to mention that some might take the issue with the existing problems in the current build.
In particular, users might be expected to complain excessively about the binoculars because they do not work while in a prone or crouching position. Also, they might also complain about performance problems linked with "DayZ" Standalone's improved bullet physics.
