Dead Island: Patch for Glitches to Fallout-Like Zombie Game
Deep Silver has announced that the first title update for Dead Island, its widely popular zombie infestation, action-RPG game. The game publisher said the patch is now available for download via Xbox LIVE. But the patch for PlayStation3 and PC is still in the works.
The patch thankfully includes upgrades to matchmaking, AI, and fixes to guest, escort and visual glitches plus more.
Developed by Techland, the first person horror action-adventure video game was released only early this month, after being unveiled at the E3 conference five years ago.
In the pacific island of Banoi, located off the coast of Papua New Guinea, after heavy partying all night, you wake up to realize that majority of the people at the Palms Resort hotel have turned into zombies. Using first-person action with a heavy focus on melee combat, character development and customization of a vast array of weapons, your only goal is to escape this zombie-infested island.
The pretty generic zombie apocalypse plot aside and notwithstanding some technical glitches, if you like 20 to 30 hours of gore and zombie dismemberment, then this RPC/action game is for you. Yes, it's true, you and your three friends (via coop mode) will feel like you're playing Fallout with zombies.
