Only months after they were caught smooching in public, singer Demi Lovato is rumored to have broken up with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. How true are stories?

Apparently, Demi Lovato's win at the People's Choice Awards last January 11 was the only news worth tweeting about. Aside from her tweets thanking all her fans for their immense support and love, the singer tweeted something else and apparently the tweets were aimed at Wilmer Valderrama.

"My fans are EVERYTHING to me... My world, my life... Thank you SO much for my PCA!!!!" she wrote. "FAVORITE POP ARTIST!!! YAYYY!!!" says the tweet sent out by the pop star moments after she won the award for Favorite Pop Artist.

As for her tweets about her supposed break up? Well, the singer may not have mentioned her ex-boyfriends' name outright or did she say they were already over but one can easily interpret what Lovato's tweets really meant.

"Loyalty is EVERYTHING.. I'm thankful for my friends who stand by my side," says the first tweet sent out by the 19-year old. It was immediately followed up by a Marilyn Monroe quote of which she retweeted from another Twitter user.

"A wise girl kisses but doesn't love, listens but doesn't believe, and leaves before she is left," says the second post.

A Marilyn Monroe quote does of not of course immediately signal one girl is having relationship problems but the tweets the singer sent out right after the first two tweets caused quite a frenzy on the web.

"The smartest thing a woman can ever learn, is to never need a man," says another tweet sent out by Lovato.

Well, with those tweets alone, it doesn't take days for people to figure out that Lovato and Valderrama have indeed broken up. By the looks of the tweets, Demi isn't much affected but is rather happy to move forward.

Well, knowing what Demi has been through in the past, a break up won't be much to bring her as easily down as it did before. She will still be the "People's Choice" as their favorite pop star, with or without Wilmer by her side.
