In the previous episode of “Designated Survivor,” President Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) had already been made aware about the hidden terror plot that had been brewing nowhere else but within the walls of his pristine office. After seeing blueprints of a bombing simulation that was developed by the government itself in 2013, President Kirkman has finally come up with a conclusion: there is a traitor within his office who used these blueprints.
In season 1 episode 10, titled “The Oath,” the hacking incident happening in the real life political scene will somehow find its way into the series. The winter finale will deal with the stealing of some highly confidential government information by an expert systems analyst that will rock the very core of the American political scene. Some secret agents might find their way into the public eye. In the teaser, President Kirkman is seen delivering a speech as a gunshot is fired. Later on, Aaron Shore (Adan Canto) and Emily Rhodes (Italia Ricci) are seen kissing.
Also in this episode, viewers will see President Kirkman confide in someone about his latest discovery. He will tell Emily everything that he knows about the matter and will put her in charge of investigating it discreetly. At this point, she is the only one he can trust since she has been working for him long before he ascended to the presidency.
Moreover, this season 1 episode 10 will let viewers witness the revelation of new information about Congressman Peter Macleish (Ashley Zukerman), which will raise some issues surrounding his nomination for the Vice Presidency. President Kirkman himself will get hold of MacLeish’s deep intentions.
Season 1 Episode 10 of “Designated Survivor” will air on December 14, Wednesday, on ABC. It is also available in Australia through Netflix.
