With all of the updates that have been rolling out for “Destiny,” developer Bungie has decided to hold an Open House to discuss what have been changed and added to the weapons and the perks of the gameplay. Bungie announced the event at the official blog, stating that some of the senior members of the team have answered questions from fans.

There are a number of topics that have been covered by the Open House. One of them involved the change in the way the Crucible works. VG 24/7 spotted the dev’s response, stating that some mechanics will change. Bungie has acknowledged that the Crucible rewards are pretty low, but that this will change in a future update. Currently, the way rewards work is that they are random to encourage all of the players to complete it, instead of having those who usually lose drop out.

Bungie also answers some questions involving the “House of Wolves” DLC. A fan asked about how the mechanics will be in leveling up exotic weapons to the new damage cap brought on by the DLC. The developer assured that the system will not be the same, though details will only drop before the release of “House of Wolves. In response to this, fans were happy about the change in mechanics, though there is a noticeable number of request for the change to not be another Exotic reset.

A lot of the community also went showed interest in the No Land Beyond weapon, with several suggestions on how and why it should be buffed to become useful in “Destiny.” The fan who opened the topic actually already had suggestions on how to improve the weapon. But Bungie did want to show both the upside and downside of the weapon to date.

“No Land Beyond was built with a very specific play style in mind: Fast sniping, run and gun, quick scope precision shots at close range. Admittedly, the weapon is not very forgiving to players who aren’t already acclimated to playing like this,” said Bungie. The result of this is the tendency to die over and over in trying to get in as many headshots as possible.

Since the weapon has been put in the spotlight over and over again, it appears that Bungie will try to examine how it works in relation to the player’s playstyle. For now, the most apparent need is to see how they can make the weapon more accessible without also turning the Crucible into a headshot murder fest. But it’s good to see that the developer will keep a close eye on this weapon—and the fans are already giving quite a number of suggestions on how to go about this.

Recently, there have been an onslaught of leaks for “Destiny,” the latest of which were data mined by Japanese Redditor megamanexe4. The Redditor has managed to shed some light on the way that “Destiny” works, with the latest focusing on the lack of randomness when it comes to Xur’s inventory.

In another post following the reveal of Xur’s inventory for Feb. 27, Redditor TheKappaChris has translated megamexe4’s post, which revealed a new discovery. It appears that, despite the previous leaks and predictions provided, there have been changes, which hint at the possibility that Bungie can modify the lineup anytime.

This was corroborated by another post from Redditor megamanexe4, stating that most of the information extracted were the same except for a minor change to Xur. He also confirmed that the items in the sale can be changed in real time and not just via patches. As such, it’s not impossible to change the originally scheduled Xur in case of any emergencies.
