‘Destiny’ dev talks changes to Trials of Osiris and PAX plans
After a couple of announcements made at Gamescom, Bungie is back to reveal some new details for its next event. The developer confirmed its presence at PAX.
“I am thrilled that, for the first time ever, we are bringing ‘Destiny’ to the show floor at PAX. Many members of the Bungie Development Team will be on hand to meet players. We will have 12 stations playing PvP with our new feature, Private Matches,” said Bungie in its Weekly Update post.
The last part may be the highlight of the developer’s announcement for some players. This is the chance for players to sample the 6v6 Supremacy mode, which will be introduced in “Destiny: Rise of Iron.”
What’s more, Bungie’s PAX booth will also showcase developer signing, cosplay, giveaways and an on-site Bungie Store. There are notable PAX Convention exclusives, like pin sets, ‘Destiny’ character and fireteam shirts, and replicas of the Thorn Hand Cannon and the Hunter Knife.
For those who are planning to buy a couple of items may want to head over early. Bungie is also offering an exclusive Mega Bloks Stormcaller Warlock figure free for a US$50 purchase of items. Only one figure per customer is allowed, and it will only be available until supplies last.
Additionally, the Weekly Update also confirmed a few things about the Trials of Osiris as fans get nearer to the launch of “Destiny Rise of Iron.”
For Legacy Console players, they may want to take advantage of the Trials of Osiris Crucible event happening from Aug. 26 to 30. This will be the last time for the older consoles. As for PS4 and Xbox One players, they will also face some downtime, since Trials of Osiris will be going on hiatus after Sept. 2. It will return on Sept. 30, 10:00 a.m. PDT.
For newer console players, what they will need is a copy of “Destiny Rise of Iron” to enjoy access to Trials of Osiris following the hiatus.
