‘Destiny’ fans find more unannounced changes and new drops for Rise of Iron
“Destiny Rise of Iron” is already on Bungie’s list of upcoming events for the game’s players. After announcing the major patch notes of the changes and new additions that fans can expect with the new update, there appears to be a little more than what was officially announced.
A Reddit mega thread has already been compiled to details all of the possible changes, from subclass to activities and vendors.
Two subclasses may experience changes in the new expansion. The Striker titan’s shoulder charge was already changed to avoid a too-powerful combo attack. Skating was also nerfed, though there is more control now for better vertical lift. The Sunbreaker titan’s suncharge may have been affected by the tracking nerf.
Players who are still enjoying “Destiny” may have seen that the Iron Banner bounties have been deleted. And for loot, some players have been seeing sample rewards. War rewards around seen to drop around 300 light level. Exotic boots can drop in the 335 level when bought with engrams. Legendary Nightfall drops are somewhere in the 330 and above level.
The weapons also see a few changes. From the looks of it, Bungie is trying to bring some more variation in terms of what players will use. For instance, Eurogamer reported on the nerfs for popular guns like the Doctrine of Passing and 1000-Yard Stare. At the same time, less popular weapons have seen some significant buffs by at least 20 percent.
For those who want to explore the new areas coming in “Destiny Rise of Iron,” they can also look forward to a new area in Dust Place Zone on Mars. According to the post, the area did not previously exist prior to the update. Now, players can access it as seen in the video below.
In the new location, there appears to be a SIVA Cluster. As of now, it can’t yet be grabbed, but the location can be marked. This may mean that Bungie is planning some quest or event related to the new area. Among the announced plans is a pre-expansion event just before Guardians are thrust into the activities for Rise of Iron.
“Destiny Rise of Iron” will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One on Sept. 20.
