‘Destiny’ Nightfall And Weekly Heroic Strike Announced, Video Shows How To Beat It
Gamers looking for a new challenge from Bungie's "Destiny" will be pleased to hear the latest Nightfall and Weekly Heroic will offer a stiff challenge. Gamers relatively new to raid need not worry as there are helpful videos and raid leaders ready to offer a helping hand.
The latest “Destiny” reset brings a brand new Nightfall and Weekly Heroic Strike. PlayStation Universe reports that this week’s Strike sees players taking on the Hive Wizard Omnigul on the Will of Crota mission and her horde of Fallen and Hive minions.
Modifiers for this week’s Nightfall are a little on the tough side, to say the least. Teams will have to coordinate, communicate and work together to survive the mission. Active modifiers include:
- Epic, which introduces hordes of enemies with increased aggression and heavy shielding
- Angry, which alters enemies, ensuring that they don’t flinch even when hit with massive damage
- Lightswitch, a modifier that increases the melee damage dealt by enemies
- Arc Burn, which multiplies the damage players receive from any source by a whopping 300 percent.
As noted by Videogamer, The Will of Crota mission is found on the Old Russia Cosmodrome map. YouTube user Todd Awesome has posted a helpful walkthrough on his YouTube channel, designed to help players work their way through the content without much fuss.
Players new to “Destiny” looking for even more in-depth assistance can seek out the help of the “Destiny” Sherpas. Featured on the Bungie Blog, the group is a community of helpful raid party leaders who take newcomers under their wing, teaching them the basics of raiding and providing tips on how to work well together.
Speaking to Bungie community manager Deej, the group explained that Sherpas act as a guide and aren’t there to win raids single-handedly for gamers. The group explained that their ultimate goal is to ensure new players learn how to hold their own rather than rely on others.
“Sherpas are teachers, not people who carry you through a Raid because they are good at them. We strive to get everyone to the same level of excellence so they can go off on their own and run with other groups,” said one Sherpa.
Gamers looking to benefit from a Sherpa can head over to the “DestinySherpa” subreddit and introduce themselves. The group promises a relaxed, fun atmosphere, emphasising that as long as gamers are willing to learn, they’ll have a good time.
