Bungie kicked off a big week for “Destiny” fans with the huge announcement that the games next major expansion, “House of Wolves” would be launching within a month. Following up on that news, the studio has announced that Update 1.1.2, which brings numerous changes to the game, including added vault space, is now live.

News of the update comes via the official “Destiny” blog, which outlines the full list of changes. The number of changes, tweaks and bug fixes coming in Update 1.1.2 are huge and will affect everything from weapons to perks, the world, strikes, raids, pvp, the UI, audio, the companion app and more. The update also fixes issues with the recently launched suspend/resume mode on PlayStation 4, introduced in the Yukimura update.

Vault Capacity increased to 24 Armor Slots, 36 Weapon Slots, and 24 General Slots
- Disabled gear comparison in Vault on Xbox 360 & PS3 platforms to account for additional slot memory

Colorblind support (deuteranopia, protanopia, tritanopia) added for highly color-driven gameplay elements
- Motion tracker
- Loot drops
- Shield energy
- Item categories

Audio Controls are now available in the Settings menu
- Volume control
- Music toggling

Item Lock now allows players to prevent gear and weapon items from being accidentally dismantled.

The purple ball has been reborn in the tower as an interactive sphere with a parallaxed energy core that grows with object velocity and tints based off time of day.

The new update comes just in time for the weekly reset of the “Destiny” game world. As noted by PlayStation Universe, this weeks strike sees players return to The Devil’s Lair in Old Russia. Guardians will ultimately have to take on Fallen Servitor Sepiks Prime, and Nightfall Strike modifiers will include Epic, Lightswitch, Angry, Nightfall and Arc Burn active, which means arc damage from any source is massively increased. Weekly Heroic modifiers will include Heroic and Lightswitch, which means enemies aligned with darkness will be capable of dealing greater amounts of damage.

“House of Wolves” follows the first big expansion Bungie has released for “Destiny,” “The Dark Below.” The developer’s recent announcement revealed plans to release information on “House of Wolves” every week, starting with a tour of The Reef area on April 22. “House of Wolves” is scheduled for release on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 19.
