Players may be looking forward to the drop of the “House of Wolves” but developer Bungie is planning more changes for the game. In the weekly update, Bungie outlines one of the changes that it previously mentioned, which involves additional audio and visual options.

For sounds, there will be new Settings coming with the 1.1.2 update before “House of Wolves.” These settings will reportedly help in isolating the frequency of those in your Fireteam. An interesting feature would be the option to select mute but also play your own music in the background.

Curious “Destiny” players will also be given an Easter egg in the form of audio treats. Overall, Bungie’s main goal is to give players more control of the audio settings.

For sights, Bungie is also making “Destiny” more colourblind-friendly by way of a Colourblind Mode in the next update. User Interface Engineering Lead Brad Fish stated that colour is very important in the game because it plays a huge role in the environment and the actual gameplay.

This feature took quite a bit longer in the drawing board since the developer needed to adapt the current user interface and provide support for various colour blind modes. Even with such a complex task, Bungie managed to create a toolkit that is flexible enough for designers to adjust the colour scheme without affecting the overall function.

“We hope the new modes enable more players to make quick decisions about the elements in the game that are most important,” said Nate Hawbaker, a technical artist at Bungie, over at the official Bungie blog.

The community hub, Bungie.net, is also getting some updates as the developer brings in some tweaks to the desktop and mobile version of the Destiny Companion app. Based on feedback from the community, there are two main changes coming to the apps. The first is that blog comments will now be directed to the relevant and appropriate forums. The second is that gameplay history will now be required to provide game feedback.

There will also be changes in the login system for accessing accounts. According to Bungie, some of the updates to the APIs in social networks will render some options incompatible with the official Bungie website. As such, login using Facebook and Google+ will now be invalid come March 24.

What “Destiny” players can do is to link their Bungie.net accounts with either their PlayStation ID or Xbox Live Gamertag. For Xbox players, their Microsoft accounts will have to be associated with the Gamertag through xbox.com.

Recently, most talk on “Destiny” has been focused on the leaks from Xur. After Reddit user megamaexe4 managed to uncover a pattern in the list of items that comes out for Xur, players have started wondering if there was anything random about it at all. The latest update from megamanexe4 confirmed that Bungie is now changing some of the items that have been previously leaked.

Unlike before, where uncovered items proved to be the same when Xur appears, more recent items appears to be coming from data changed on the day of his appearance. For now, it appears that the silent battle between “Destiny” goods leakers and Bungie have come to a standstill, as megamanexe4 said that he can now only provide the original list from Xur, with no predictions as to what Bungie may change in the original list.
