As “Evolve” continues to be a success to fans and critics everywhere, 2K has decided to announce the latest batch of “Evolve” DLC set for release at the end of the month. The upcoming DLC adds a good number of content to the game, adding four new playable hunters and one playable monster to cause havoc.

The new “Evolve” hunters have been profiled and detailed by 2K in the main “Evolve” website. These new hunters are Torvald of the assault class, Crow who is part of the trapper class, Slim who seems to be some sort of insect humanoid and will be a medic for his groupmates and Sunny who provides support for the group.

Aside from their given character types, each character also has a unique ability that may help them stand out from other hunters in the game. For example: The trapper Crow has a pet Batray named Goby, who can be used to scout monsters and keep tabs on it. Slim, the medic, has a leech gun, which can be used to replenish the heal burst ability he has. Support character Sunny has a jetpack boost that can speed up her allies while Torvald has a mortar.

Of course, a new "Evolve" monster will also join the ranks of playable creatures in the game appropriately called “The Behemoth.” This creature will be able to turn itself into a rolling boulder as a way to travel faster and presumably for offensive manoeuvres. This monster will apparently be the largest monster in the game, to the point that even future “Evolve” DLC won’t be having a monster as big as the Behemoth.

In addition to the Behemoth and the four new hunters, Polygon has confirmed that there will also be two new maps and a brand new observer mode, which will apparently enhance match viewing and streaming for the game. The new “Evolve” hunters can be purchased separately at the price of $7.49 and all four are included in the $25 “Evolve” season pass. The Behemoth was originally a pre-order exclusive and will be free to those who pre-ordered the beast; otherwise it must be purchased for $14.99.
