"Titanfall" is far from being an old and forgotten game, despite a number of new and upcoming titles. In fact, developer Respawn has just announced and detailed the upcoming Game Update #8, slated to be the biggest update, so far, for the title. Though the Frontier Edge was first revealed for "Titanfall," Respawn Entertainment wasted no time telling fans what cool features will be coming.

Features To Expect For Game Update #8

One of the most touted features is the Ranked Play, which will make use of a Rank Chip for pilots to measure players' skills. The best way to go up from the starting point of Bronze I rank up to Gold and beyond is to keep hitting goals. For now, Respawn Entertainment has assured the feature will launch, though it will still be on beta mode in the meantime.

This means only a limited number of "Titanfall" players will get access to the Rank Chip while the developer tests it out before rolling it to the public. And the only clue that was given as to who can access it is that it will be made available to players who "play a lot" of "Titanfall." These includes the Gen 10 players, who are already assured of being in the beta and getting five beta invites with the decision of whom to give them left entirely up to them.

Apart from this, Respawn Entertainment has detailed a few more additions coming with the Game Update #8. Frontier Defense has already been announced to debut with the big update. Capture the Flag will get a Sudden Death mode if the timer runs out with the teams tied. It's the lightning round with no respawning, so whoever gets the flag first wins.

There is also an additional challenge in the form of Map Stars, which can be obtained in the primary game mode per map. Players obtain the stars when they earn the required scores. The addition spans 504 earnable stars, with new Titan Insignias unlockable as incentives for obtaining some of the stars.

There's also a full screen minimap, private match burn card sets and black market additions coming with the "Titanfall" Game Update #8. Players can check the detailed patch notes via the official "Titanfall" website.

New Legendary Gears Found

With fans continuing to look for new finds in "Destiny" until the DLC expansion comes, a new gear has been found for a number of classes, and these seem to be slated for official reveal once the Crota's End Raid is accomplished. Specifically, there are five gear types per class for the Warlock, Hunter and Titan.

To get a quick look at the gears, this is the list for the discovered Hunter gear, thanks to Gamerant's listing:

- Unyielding Casque (helmet)

- Relentless Harness (chest)

- Dogged Cage (gauntlets)

- Tireless Stride (legs)

- Shroud of Flies (cloak).

It would be interesting to see how these new weapons can affect the game. In the latest round of fixes, the developer has revealed that some of the weapons required a decrease in power for more balance and diversity in gameplay among the players.
