Spoiler alert: This update contains minor spoilers on “Devious Maids” Season 3 premiere. Read on at your own risk.

“Season 3 begins with the aftermath of a shooting at Rosie and Spence's wedding that changes some lives forever. Meanwhile, a familiar couple return to Beverly Hills with their new, mysterious daughter,” reads the “Devious Maids” 3x01 synopsis on RottenTomatoes.

Rosie (Dania Ramirez) and Spence (Grant Show) exchange wedding vows in the second season finale of the series. A mad shooting takes place after the ceremony. The viewers have yet to find out if someone died.

Meanwhile, a Season 1 arc involving the Stappords is set to pick up again. Viewers believe Michael Stappord (Brett Cullen) and his wife Taylor (Brianna Brown) are the couple being referred to in the Season 3 synopsis.

Taylor loses her baby after sustaining a gunshot wound in Season 1. In a Season 2 episode, Taylor tells Marisol that she and Michael are leaving Beverly Hills. They are planning to adopt a baby. Why the baby in the Season 3 opener synopsis is described to be “mysterious” remains to be seen.

IMDB shows Brianna Brown is appearing in nearly all episodes of “Devious Maids” Season 3. With her return comes the exit of Season 2 regular Mark Deklin, who played the role of Marisol’s husband. In another entrance, Naya Rivera is on board to play the role of Blanca, a maid with interesting employers.

Still on casting changes, two former series regulars, Edy Ganem and Drew Van Acker, have been demoted to recurring guests, Deadline reported. The same report said series creator Marc Cherry is stepping down from day to day operations, but he will continue to lead the overall creative team. The new showrunners are Ric Swartzlander and Brian Tanen.

After getting some answers on the aftermath of the wedding shooting, viewers expect new story lines in “Devious Maids” Season 3. The premiere is scheduled on June 1 (Sunday). For feedback or comments on this article, you may email a.paredes@ibtimes.com.au.
