Avid gamers finally got their hands on the much-awaited Diablo 3 after 12 years of waiting. One of the most important parts of the game is visiting the auction houses to buy or sell some items in the auction houses. Players are encouraged to sell the items or loot that they obtained during the course of the game in the auction houses.

Gamers finally able to enjoy playing Diablo 3 despite the mishaps and errors on the servers just right after the launch. Blizzard announced that they have fixed all of the issues and players can now smoothly bash the villains as well as increase their levels.

Auction houses are of vital importance in the game as players are allowed to trade items that they need to progress in another level. However, there are some things that you have to know before you jump right into the auction houses.

1. There are two types of auction houses in the game - gold based auction houses and real money auction houses. The gold based auction house is already available and the real money auction houses should be available soon.

2. Weapons, armor, or other items are not available in real money auction house as players are encouraged to sell items that they have obtained through the campaign.

3. All auction transactions are conducted anonymously. Blizzard aimed in protecting the identity and privacy of players and information such as name and BattleTags are not disclosed during the transaction.

4. Proceeds from the auctions in your Battle.net Balance will be received after Blizzard cut 15 percent and if one chooses to transfer proceeds to PayPal, Blizzard will again deduct 15 percent as a form of transfer/processing fee.

Note: Only certain players can send proceeds directly through PayPal. Players will have to choose the mode of transfer before transaction will be completed.

5. It takes three to five days for the proceeds to be transferred to the player's Battle.net Balance or PayPal account. Thus, there is no need to panic if the amount is not reflected instantly

6. Transactions are region-based. All items must be bought within the region and cannot be transferred to players to from Europe and Asian servers.

7. Blizzard will not give out refunds for purchased items.

8. Hardcore mode characters are not going to be able to access the real money auction house. These characters have their own gold-based auction house that can only be accessed by other hardcore characters. Moreover, when hardcore characters die, any items they have will die with them.
