Disney Channel’s ‘The Jersey’ star Michael Galeota dies at 31
The death of Michael Galeota, the boy who rose to stardom at a tender age with Disney’s “The Jersey,” has come as a shocker to the world. The sudden death of the former child star at the age of 31 has left the world grieving. Michael Galeota has starred in several flicks, including “Clubhouse Detectives” and “Can't Be Heaven.”
It has been reported that Galeota was hospitalized after complaining of abdominal pains earlier this month, according to E! News. However, he left treatment midway despite doctor's orders. Galeota was found dead by his friend at his home in Glendale, California on Sunday.
Galeota’s death was confirmed by Los Angeles County Coroner to the website. The officer revealed that the 31-year old was suffering from several health issues including abdominal pain, hypertension, and high cholesterol. Though the cause of the death appeared to be natural, a medical examination of Galeota’s body will be conducted on Wednesday.
Galeota's kith and kins have started a “GoFundMe” page to collect $25,000 for the funeral and posted a note regarding his sudden demise along with a heartfelt message on the website.
"It is with tremendous heartfelt sadness to announce the passing of Michael James Galeota on January 10th. He died peacefully at home," read the note on the website.
“He was a precious gift – loving, giving, compassionate, joyful and intelligent. A great inspiration for anyone that heard his genuine, humble, witty and joyful voice, or experienced his smile, laughter and love for just a moment. To know him was to love him,” the note continued.
Nearly 31 people have donated a total of over $8,000 in just four hours. A massive donation of $5,000 was made by a person named "Shia L.," who is expected to be Disney star Shia LaBeouf. The Disney fans will definitely miss Michael Galeota - the child star - who would have made it big if he had a few more years in his hands.
