Doogee F5 is now available on preorders on Gear Best for $139

The Doogee F5 is one of the new smartphones from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer that is now up for preorders for $139 on Gear Best. At a low price, the handset offers impressive specs.

The Doogee F5 handset features a 5.5-inch display that supports full HD resolution. It offers a screen-to-body ratio of 82 percent. Most of the other Chinese smartphones that carry similar price tags offer HD resolution on a 5.5-inch display.

The handset is powered by MediaTek MT6753 chipset that features an octa-core processor along with 3 GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage available on the Doogee F5 is 16 GB and the external storage slot supports up to 32 GB of microSD.

The Doogee F5 has a 13 MP camera on its rear panel along with dual LED flash. The front houses a selfie camera of 5 MP. It is shipped with Android 5.1 preinstalled.

One of the intriguing features of the Doogee F5 is its fingerprint sensor that is seated below the rear camera. According to Phone Arena, depending on how long the sensor is pressed, the handset can carry out several functions.

For instance, pressing it for half a second will let the user access the homescreen. To go to “Recent Apps”, users can press the fingerprint scanner for one and a half seconds. If the handset is locked, touching on the sensor will detect the stored fingerprint and unlock the device.

The Doogee F5 comes with usual connectivity features like 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, 4.0 Bluetooth and more. It is equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery and with fast charge support that can power 70 percent of the battery in 30 minutes.

The thickness of the handset is 7.8 mm and it weighs 171 grams. Gear Best is selling three color variants of the handset such as light gray, deep gray and champagne. The preorders of the Doogee F5 on Gear Best began on Aug. 31 and it will end on Sept. 29. The shipping of the handset will start from Sept. 31.
