'Dragon Age Inquisition' Starter Tips And Tricks: Character Creation, Combat Modes, Party, Looting, War Table
"Dragon Age Inquisition" is now available for Windows PC, Xbox and PlayStation to let players get into the storyline of the Inquisitor. Find out the start-up tips for new players on building the Inquisitor, using combat styles, getting party members, gathering loots and managing the War Table.
Character Creation: From Physical To Class Specific
Character creation on "Dragon Age Inquisition" comes up first before the real game begins. It enables the player to edit usual factors regarding the protagonist of the game. But unlike previous game titles, customisation on the new game includes additions of horns for Qunari, voice selection and advanced editing on various body parts, makeup and scars.
Class specific editing includes selection between Rogue, Warrior and Mage with the type of combat style such as dual-wielding, archery or two-handed weaponry. Players can adjust both the combat style and difficulty level in the middle of the game. Dragon Age Keep from BioWare provides in-depth editing of the world state for "Dragon Age Inquisition."
Be Ready To Click When Exploring
Whether playing on a PC or console, be ready to click when exploring the roads or dungeons. Expect enemies approaching your party with loots dropping after each kill which will require certain controls to highlight the items. According to DigitalTrends, clicking on the left stick releases a sonar-style ping to highlight any objects in the surrounding which can be interacted with such as chests and dropped items.
Combat Modes: Real-Time And Tactical
Similar with previous game titles, "Dragon Age Inquisition" has Real-Time and Tactical combat modes during encounters. Real-Time mode requires quick combat interaction from the player since the enemies and the party are fighting live while Tactical mode puts the game in pause which enables the player to strategically assign combat actions and study enemies in the encounter.
Getting Party Members
Having different party members is a good decision that can affect combat strategies in terms of dealing with strength and weakness against opponents. There are several companions who can join the Inquisition including Blackwall, Iron Bull, Cassandra Pentaghast and Varric. Some of these companions are also eligible for romance with the Inquisitor. But convincing them to join the party will depend on selected actions and conversations throughout the game.
Gathering And Looting
At the beginning, looting is the primary method to get resources for trading and supplies. Expect to stock up with potions and other essential needs for combat during the first few of gameplay. In the long run, players can try the new crafting system implemented by BioWare or use high-level items dropped by monsters.
War Table Usage
War Table carries more than 300 missions and operations which can change depending on previous choices or actions in the game. Missions available on the War Table include scouting, establishing camp, exploration, raising structures, recruitment, assassinations and more. Completion of mission from the War Table will give rewards such as gold, rare crafting materials and equipment.
