'Driveclub' vs. 'Forza Horizon 2': Sleek Steelbook and Controls and More Cars Get Revealed
With just a little more than a month before its release date, "Driveclub" continues with its roll of new information straight from the developers.
This time, it comes from Paul Rustchynsky, director of the game, who had stated that the opacity of the on-screen displays will be controlled entirely by the player. This stems from Rustchynsky's own preference to not having any of those displays when playing, reports DualShockers.
The controlled opacity allows for a more immersive experience for those who just want to be in the zone when driving. In addition, a snapshot of the Steelbook for "Driveclub" has been captured, which features a unique artwork for those who have preordered a copy of the game in Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
The artwork can be seen in the link above, or over at the official Twitter account for Driveclub.
Online Challenges Share the Thrill of the Drive
To get you through the remaining months of waiting, Sony has recently released a "Driveclub" trailer that shows off the online challenges that you can explore in the game.
"When you do cross the finish line, you can start something new with your friends by creating a challenge. Who you include is up to you, but it pays to get as many drivers and clubs involved as possible, because the rewards become bigger when more people take part," Evolution Studios community manager Jamie Brayshaw said over at the PlayStation Blog.
This puts the fun of "Driveclub" beyond just fast cars and nice views near the race track. Driving style, accolades, face-offs, drfting and other such actions can bring you more rewards. In turn, these can help you unlock more cars and items.
Beyond the game, Sony and Evolution Studios seems to be looking at the bigger picture of rewards-meeting new friends and growing your social group with every additional invitation you include in your challenges.
