The Samsung Galaxy Golden 2 is the successor model of the original Galaxy Golden clamshell handset that had released in November 2013. The newer model is packed with high-end specs. According to Gadgetzarena blog, a Galaxy Golden 2 device with a model number of SM-W2015 has reached the TENAA certification body in China.

As of now, it is not known as to when the Galaxy Golden 2 will come out in the market. According to GSMArena, the new flip phone will be targeted towards Asian audience. Loadthegame states that the Galaxy Golden 2 will be initially launched in China through China Telecom. Later on, the Galaxy Golden 2 may also arrive in Korea and India.

What's interesting about the Galaxy Golden 2 is that it is fitted with two display screens. Both are 3.9-inch Super AMOLED displays that support a display resolution of 768 x 1,280 pixels. The original handset featured an external display of 3.5-inch with a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The main display of 3.7-inch also supported the same screen resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy Golden 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 801 SoC brings Krait 400 processor to the device that performs at 2.5 GHz. It is supported by 2 GB RAM and Adreno 330 graphics which clearly indicates that it is a high-end flagship smartphone. It will be running on the Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS. The external storage will support up to 64 GB of microSD.

According to GSMArena, the Galaxy Golden 2 features a 16 MP camera on its back and it can record videos of 2,160p quality. The front side of the handset is fitted with 3.7 MP camera. As of now, it is not clear whether the handset supports LTE connectivity but what is known is that the Galaxy Golden 2 will support dual SIMs.

The handset measures 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5 mm and weighs 173 g. Samsung is yet to make an official announcement on the Galaxy Golden 2. It is packed with an 1,820 mAH battery, according to NDTV. Loadthegame estimates that the price of the Galaxy Golden 2 will be around $400.
