Talks of an early Google Nexus 6 release date were seemingly revived anew as one possible template of the device surfaced - the new Motorola flagship that according to @evleaks will be called as the Moto X+1.

The latest Twitter shout out from the popular gadget leaker @evleaks provided an image preview of what appears as the official logo for the Moto X refresh. However, no further details accompanied the mysterious post, BGR India noted on its report.

Ubergizmo also picked up the latest of info and speculated that the smartphone should make a touchdown summer time of 2014, that is reading from the hint by @evleaks that the Moto X+1 is coming soon.

The tease suggests too that some form of unwrapping could happen as early as June of the same year.

Now, connecting the dots and bordering a bit to speculations, June is big month for Nexus device maker Google. Later in the month, the I/O Developers Conference is set for staging (on June 24 and 25) and Android fans are holding their breath for a slew of revelations from the tech giant.

Prime candidates are a fresh Android build, which according to rumours would be Android 4.5 or 5.0, and a Nexus device, likely a Nexus 8 or even the supposed-to-be written off Nexus 10 2.

While the Nexus 6 is a long shot, as the phone is normally upgraded in the latter part of the year, some are convinced that Google will be generous enough to allow a peek and taste of its new smartphone flavour.

Since the final branding of the next Nexus phone remains up in the air, the second Moto X is a solid base-model for the device as the gadget will likely carry all the qualities to become the Nexus 6 - premium specs and features as duly updated from the first model.

Note that by virtue of the recent Google-Lenovo deal that will soon transfer the Motorola ownership from the Internet search giant to the Chinese PC maker, Motorola is highly tipped to win the next Nexus smartphone project.

In doing so, the mobile device maker will have to upstage LG, which manufactured the beloved Nexus 4 and 5, and HTC, which last week was rumoured to likely bump off LG from Google's grace. The latter was responsible for the Nexus One.

The race between LG and Motorola for the coveted Nexus 6 contract seems to make sense as CNET noted on its report that the Moto X+1 will likely hit the market with embedded pairing to the earlier announced Moto 360 smartwatch.

LG is touted too to combo its Nexus 6 take with an Android-powered time-piece that also serves as the powerful extension of the smartphone but with stand-alone features.

Such scenario makes for an interesting battle between LG and Motorola with HTC as a strong dark horse. But the last say, of course, on when the Nexus 5 sequel will head over rests on Google.

Regardless of Google's decision, Android fans are convinced that the Nexus 6 on release date will surely showcase supreme bump ups from its predecessor - headlined by a 5.2-inch display, a quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 805 chip, Adreno 420 GPU, up to 4GB of RAM and Android 4.5.
