eBay Google Nexus 5 32GB at $650 Scam Post? Google Play Store First to Sell Nexus 5 Online
Nothing will stop the arrival of Google Nexus 5 in November 2013 but potential buyers should beware premature posts online regarding available units for purchase. eBay post has been detected of somewhat "limited" due to a condition required in exchange of $650 per unit.
eBay Posting Scam?
Lots of people would want a Google Nexus 5 on their palm and so online buying is the first resort to get the handset. Leaks and rumours have floated regarding the newest Nexus phone but the eBay post recently is the most surprising.
A Nexus 5 32GB pre-order with fast international shipping has been posted by yoshio_221 and tagged with $650 price mark and a shipping cost of $19.99. The item is located at Germantown, Maryland in the United States and it looks like 2 buyers have already agreed with the terms of the seller.
Aside from the $650 expensive price tag compared to the accidental leak from Google of $349, the eBay Nexus 5 has an unlocked network system, 16GB actual internal storage capacity, black colour and boxed with all of its original contents.
However, upon scrolling down on the post, you will see a weird description on how the device will be obtained.
"This is a pre-order for the brand new Nexus! The reason why I am doing this is because the phone will most likely not be available in most regions across the globe, so I am offering my time and effort to get the phone to you as fast as possible, so you don't have to wait weeks or months to get it," yoshio_221 describing the Nexus 5 on the post.
In addition, yoshio_221 knows nothing about the official specifications and oblige buyers to pay for taxes and other related fees for shipment.
There is no way to confirm if anyone will be able to purchase any Nexus 5 on the launching date as Google remains quite about the details and should be a warning for others who are planning to commit with the terms of the post or suffer potential consequences.
Google Play Store as the Initial Legit Source
LG Nexus 4 is available on the Play Store but not to all territories around the globe which somehow support yoshio_221 claims of Nexus 5 unavailable to the international market. However, Google controls the Play Store and Nexus devices sold from it are all legit where you should line your digital cart.
Recently, Nexus 5 appeared on the Play Store with a selling price of $349 for 16GB model while the 8GB variant has a price of $299 - relatively same price range with Nexus 4. Unfortunately, there is no way to purchase them for no links, details or any possible method to get pre-orders.
Google hasn't announced any details of selling or official release dates of the Nexus 5, only leaks of its official launch has been revealed on October 28, 2013. It is recommended to closely review and check descriptions of online retailers before making any deal.
