“Mortal Kombat X” may be getting a new DLC pack follow-up to the Kombat Pack, if the latest teaser is to be believed. NetherRealm Studios creative head Ed Boon took to Twitter to tease a possible DLC pack for the hit fighting game. This fuelled fans’ excitement for the game, as the possible new DLC pack has been anticipated since the release of the last fighter, Tremor.

Boon posted a photo on Twitter, which featured the characters for the first Kombat Pack: Tanya, Jason Voorhees, Tremor and Predator. The tweet has references to Kombat Pack 1, and Boon even added a winking emoticon to the tweet, further teasing fans of the new set of characters. He then immediately tweeted "#StraightOutta," reportedly hinting a possible Kombat Pack 2.

However, NetherRealm has not yet officially announced any development or even plans of release for another DLC. Judging by the name of the previous DLC, though, which is “Kombat Pack 1,” many speculate that another expansion may come. It is rumoured that one of the next additions to the roster is the popular comic book character Spawn. In fact, Boon teased Spawn in a Twitter post months ago.

“Mortal Kombat X” is filled with unplayable characters that were opponents in the game's Story Mode. All characters were returning favorites from the series including Bo Rai Cho and Smoke.

Modders have taken a liking to tweaking the game. Through the efforts of some modders, some NPCs including Sindel, Baraka and Rain have become playable. Also in a report by IGN, modders have unmasked the previously unknown characters of “Mortal Kombat X.” The YouTube video by user Dynasty, seen below, shows several characters being unmasked and having fully developed faces.

The video includes maskless versions of playable characters Ferra Torr, Erron Black, Jason Voorheese and Revenant Sub-Zero. It also reveals the faces of two non-playable characters Rain and Smoke.
