Ed Sheeran, Nicole Scherzinger coincidentally share their bed selfies on the same day

Ed Sheeran and Nicole Scherzinger each took to their respective Instagram page on Tuesday to share their photo taken while in bed. The singers, who recently made headlines after they were rumoured to be dating, coincidentally shared their photos on the same day.

Scherzinger shared a photo of herself lying in bed with a white sheet draped across her chest and looking at the camera with a half smile. She shared the image along with the caption, “Goodnight, don't let the bed bugs bite.” Her photo has since received over 41,000 likes as of this writing.

Some people who commented on the photo linked her picture to Sheeran's. An Instagram user named maxliraoficial noted how the white pillow the singer is using somehow resembles the one seen in Sheeran’s photo.

“The same pillow than @teddysphotos . Hmmmmmmm,” the user said.

Sheeran’s photo also shows him in bed. However, instead of wishing his fans good night like Scherzinger, the singer captioned his photo, “Halfway and ouch.”

The “Thinking Out Loud” singer was referring to the huge image of a lion tattooed on his chest. Mirror UK reports that tattoo artist Kevin Paul had inked the massive design on the singer's chest. Sheeran is no stranger to tattoos, but he did admit that having the new lion ink hurt.

Sheeran later took to his Twitter page to thank Paul for his patience during the process. Paul’s other celebrity clients reportedly include One Direction singer Harry Styles and Paddy Considine.

Sheeran and Scherzinger made headlines recently after a source told The Sun that they have been seeing each other after the latter's split from Lewis Hamilton. A source close to the Pussycat Dolls lead singer said she got drawn to Sheeran through his music, since it helped her through her breakup with Hamilton.

“She was drawn to him over the last few months through his music. When she split from Lewis, she was heartbroken but ended up playing Ed’s songs on a loop,” the source revealed.

A friend of Sheeran also told the publication that the 24-year old has been on several dates with Scherzinger. However, the source claims there is probably nothing serious going on between them. The singer’s representative has also denied any romantic relationship between him and the 37-year-old.

“As far as he’s concerned they were in the early stages of dating and he’s been open about it with close friends and colleagues. It may not develop beyond those dates but they’re definitely tight,” Ed’s friend said.
