‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ free on Xbox Live Gold this weekend with a chance to win $1 million
A game publisher is willing to offer a cool US $1 million (approx. AU $1.4 million) if players pick its game. Zenimax, the game publisher for “The Elder Scrolls Online,” is hosting a free-to-play weekend for its multiplayer game on Xbox Live, PC and Mac. Players may also get a chance to win the million dollar prize.
Bethesda has announced that the event is starting on Dec. 10 for PC, Mac, and Xbox One. “The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited” will be available for free to download until Monday, Dec. 14. Players who decide to buy the game during this free-to-play trial period will be eligible for 60% discount on the original price. On top of that, their game progress along with their character, game score and achievements will be carried forward.
For those unfamiliar with “The Elder Scrolls Online,” it is a fantasy MMORPG game by Bethesda. The game features a huge open world without restrictions to explore all the locations available in the previous games from the series. Xbox owners can download the game directly from the Xbox store this weekend. Gold Members can download from the members’ area on their Xbox One dashboard.
PC and Mac players can start downloading the game right now to make sure they get ready to join in this Thursday. To download the game, PC/Mac players will need to claim their Free Play Weekend code from any of these recommended websites. Players can also get the code from their friend that is currently playing the “The Elder Scrolls Online.” After claiming their unique code, players can register on the official website of Elder Scrolls Online.
Those aiming for the million dollar prize need to register and log on to the Million Reasons website and fill out a form by Jan. 10, 2016. Registered players will need to play the game between Dec. 3 and Jan. 10, 2016 to be eligible for the prize. One thing every participant should know is that the prize will be paid in installments of US $50,000 (approx. AU $ 69243) for 20 years. Consolation prize in form of 3,000,000 in game-currency of crowns will be given to 1,000 players. The name of winners will be announced on Feb. 1, 2016.
