Emma Roberts doesn’t seem to be the type who could hurt a fly, but apparently, looks are deceiving. The 22-year-old “We’re the Millers” actress and Julia Roberts’ niece, was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly attacking her boyfriend, actor Evan Peters, in Canada.

The alleged incident happened in the early hours of July 7 in Montreal, according to TMZ. Emma was taken into custody when police were called to her and Evan’s hotel room.

Montreal law enforcement sources told the U.S. Web site that someone reported a fight in the couple’s room. And when the cops arrived, they saw Evan with a bloody nose. He also had a bite mark.

Emma was immediately arrested, but was released hours later when Evan, 26, did not want to press charges.

Sources close to the actress claimed that they couple were hitting each other, but she was the one arrested because he had obvious physical injuries. However, the insiders denied that she bit his boyfriend.

Emma and Evan, who have been dating since 2012, are reportedly back together after their violent episode.

Both were mum about the incident, though. Emma's tweets didn't indicate anything about her alleged arrest, with her first one after July 7 was an Instagram photo of her and her sister.

Emma Roberts wrote, "Sister time #hamptons @gnick106"

However, after the news broke, a rep for both Emma and Evan released a statement to Us Weekly, saying, "It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it."
