An appeal to Evasi0n for iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak has been put up online by Apple hackers. The petition implies iPhone 5 and other iDevice users can't wait for the iOS 7 to get the latest Evasi0n jailbreak.

Weeks before iOS 6.1.3 was released to iPhone users, the Evasi0n team has told the media it is not releasing a counter-update against the Apple OS. The last jailbreak solution, therefore, would live on iOS 6.1.2 devices. But many users failed to get the 'memo.' Now an online petition was written to appeal for a jailbreak solution to the latest Apple OS.

The Evad3rs have earlier said their group is sitting out the iOS 6.1.3 to direct all their efforts to the next Apple OS iteration.

"We are not working on a 6.1.3 jailbreak that would be too much efforts (sic) for a minimal update. We're waiting for a major release," Evad3r Pod2g previously announced on Twitter. It is understood the "major release" being referred to is the much-anticipated iOS 7.

In the petition for iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak, petitioner Lawand Omar said:

"There are millions of jail breakers out (there) but a fraction had accidently (broken) their jailbreak by updating their iDevices to iOS 6.1.3." Only 344 online users have echoed Omar's appeal, so far. But Omar wrote, "A lot of anxious jail breakers are desperate for jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 and (there) is nothing they can do."

One of the comments to the petition read:

"(I) hope evasi0n makes a 6.1.3 for all (Apple) devices... So most of us (who) didn't mean to update (could break free). Please evasi0n, make a 6.1.3 (jailbreak tool)."

At least 18 million iPhone, iPad and iPod owners have used the Evasi0n tool to jailbreak their iOS devices. This number was reached not long after the evad3rs came out with their neat iOS jailbreak in February.
