The evasi0n iOS 7 jailbreak is still believed to be either incomplete or unstable for iPhone 5S, 5C, or earlier Apple devices. The same goes for @iH8sn0w's iOS 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 untethered jailbreak. The developers are not announcing release dates, but Apple device users won't stop asking on Twitter. Meanwhile, iH8sn0w has an advice for A5 users.

"If you're an A5+ user and still running 6.1.3, I do not [recommend] going to iOS 7 until a jailbreak is public for it," @iH8sn0w tweeted. Moments prior to tweeting this tip, the hacker laughs off a jailbreaker's demand for him to release his iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak utility.

The Apple A5 chip is working in these devices: iPad 2, iPad mini, iPhone 4S, and iPod touch 5th generation. The Apple A5X is in the iPad 3rd generation.

The latest Apple devices -- iPhone 5S, iPad Air -- are running on 64-bit architecture with Apple's A7 chip. @iH8sn0w's tip applies to Apple device users who can run iOS 7 (and are unwilling to wait for iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak).

Neither iOS 6.1.3 or iOS 7 users could rely on evasi0n and iH8sn0w to release their jailbreak "today." The devs have been short of pleading the impatient users to just-wait. Apple has released iOS 7.0.3 OTA, and evad3r @musclenerd has tweeted this is "fine" for potential evasi0n jailbreakers. It is good news, but still does not keep everyone at peace. iH8sn0w has something to say about the jailbreakers' impatience:

"Funny thing about [jailbreak] ETAs: When one is said but failed to achieve, people get more rowdy than if no ETA was announced at all," the Apple iOS hacker tweeted. Some users, however, check daily without bugging the devs:

i swear i check everyday for an update on the ios 7 jailbreak >.<

Here is one tweet example from someone waiting for iH8sn0w's iOS 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 untethered jailbreak: "take it out ! More and more are updating to ios 7 ! We are tired to wait !! (sic)" The (very patient) developer responded as calmly as one could. (See the Twitter exchange below.)

@M4rcH4ck3r lol. You're making it sound like its sitting on my D: drive and waiting for a date to upload it. — iH8sn0w (@iH8sn0w) November 1, 2013

Not everyone is rushing to jailbreak iOS 7 with evasi0n, though. Also, not everyone is demanding, nay, ordering, the devs to release their jailbreaking tools. Here's one tweet that seems to show appreciation for the devs' efforts:

@iH8sn0w Luckily, I find iOS 7 extreamly ugly and glad you and @winocm are working on this for us.

In an idesigntimes.com interview, evasi0n iOS7 jailbreak developer @planetbeing echoes @iH8sn0w's remarks on jailbreakers waiting for updates. "I've said something positive, and people are assuming it'll be out in a few days," he said, noting neither silence nor just-wait is working with the impatient crowd.

In the meantime, however, both iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 and iOS 7 jailbreak hopefuls should not worry. The devs are believed to be hard at work, that even the iPad Air and the much-anticipated iPhone 6 may benefit from this new jailbreak tool. (For humour, check out this re-tweeted funny post by @planetbeing.)
