The Evasi0n jailbreak saga continues as Team Evad3rs let out the latest build, 7.0.4, that works on the latest iPhone, iPad and iPod editions, even on iOS devices that were quick to jump on iOS 7.1 Beta 3.

According to Redmond Pie, the most recent iOS 7 jailbreak version should work fine with the millions of Apple mobile devices out there though installing and actually enjoying the JB is not entirely problem-free

For one, Evasi0n7 can be installed by iOS device users already running beta 3 of iOS 7.1 but the jailbreak for that particular iOS edition is still in the unofficial status. That means, device owners should not be surprise if issues would suddenly crop out, hopefully in the minor sphere.

As for compatibility with Cydia, where apps and tweaks for jailbroken iPhones and iPads are sourced from, there should be some tolerable glitches to be encountered. One example is a number of apps remain in the beta turf. That suggests of red flags for possible issues to come out during the course of use.

Such is to be expected as it should be recalled that in the initial release of Evasi0n7, the Evad3rs pulled a surprise by leaving out Cydia for a time from the environment in favour of China-based Taig. Now all is well as Jay Freeman's Cydia is back inside the Evasi0n universe.

So it should be only a matter of time before the beta JB apps and tweaks move forward to the full version.

For the time being, the jailbreak community can mostly enjoy some of the most essential and exciting Evasi0n7 companions that are listed and compiled below, courtesy of Lifehacker and Gotta Be Mobile.

Activator - This tool allows users to take full charge of iPhone and iPad control keys and multi-touch functions, which is not possible with the official iOS 7.

Nitrous - This jailbreak tweak boosts net browsing speed by eliminating web browser restrictions pre-programmed by Apple and optimising their features.

F.lux - Wanting to eliminate or lessen eye-strain when using iOS devices? F.lux comes handy by adjusting device screen colour temperature to comfortable level or as desired by users.

Virtual Home - When paired with TouchID on the iPhone 5S, Virtual Home become an indispensable tool that makes device navigation smooth and easy.

CCControl - As expected, when Apple finally included an easily accessible Control Centre on the latest batch of iOS devices, jailbreak users would want for more. The answer to their clamour is CCControl, the main appeal of which is straightforward configuration.

BatterySafe - All iOS devices are reliable already when it comes to energy juice. But with BatterySafe, iPhones and iPads last longer than published by Apple.

iCleaner Pro - With the internal storage fixed and no prospect of extension, best way to maximise iPhone and iPad digital rooms is to shred non-essential contents and free up precious space. No doubt, iCleaner Pro is up to the task.

SwitchSpring - This tool is very useful in freeing device resources, RAM specifically, by simultaneously killing running but unused apps.

TetherMe - Transforms an iPad or iPhone into a Wi-Fi hotspot that allows shared wireless Internet access.

Swipey - Allows users to place shortcuts of favourite apps right on the lock screen. This tweak essentially acts as an app launcher.

CyDelete7 - And when Cydia-based apps are no longer needed, CyDelete7 does the work just like in the native iOS environment.
