As Beta 5 of the iOS 7.1 was seeded this week, Team Evad3rs started rolling out build 1.0.5 of the Evasi0n7 iOS 7 jailbreak purportedly for users of recent iPhone models outside of the United States.

The changelog published on the Evad3rs official site indicated that the new version fully supports the recently issued iOS 7.0.5, which for the most part was intended to correct network glitches seen in iPhones (running on iOS 7) circulating in China and parts of Europe.

For users located in the U.S., the new version is not an absolute necessity. However, the dev team also issued reminders that all jailbreak fans must proceed with caution in getting Beta 5 of the iOS 7.1, which became available for download this week.

"Over The Air updates of iOS 7 are known to create an issue and make the jailbreak fail. Some devices are then stuck on the Apple Boot Logo," the Evad3rs warned, adding that it is best to stick with 7.0.5 for now until a fix is completed and distributed.

Also, there is no word from the Evasi0n7 creators on when exactly the official iOS 7.1 jailbreak will be up and running though it is common knowledge among the jailbreak community that until Apple is finished with the beta releases, 7.1 JB will remain in limbo.

Experts reckoned that a few more betas should be expected from the tech giant prior to moving over the next level, giving a rough estimate of between February and March 2014 as the arrival time for the final Evasion jailbreaking tool in the iOS 7 cycle.

Then the Team Evad3rs can hopefully begin preliminary jailbreak works on the next iOS version, which could be iOS 8 or iOS 7.2 as suggested in recent leaks involving the rumoured Apple phablet - the iPhone 6.

There are the talks that the next iPhone could come out as early as July this year, meaning completion of iOS 7.1 could be accelerate so Apple engineers can focus on either the iOS 8 or iOS 7.2.

Such prospect translates into two things for the jailbreak community - the sooner the iOS 7.1 becomes official, the quicker the Evad3rs would be able to provide the alternative for iOS device users who want to unlock their iPhones and iPads.

In the event iOS 7.1 is out by end of Feb 2014, it shouldn't be a surprise to see the official Evasion7 iOS 7.1 jaibreak become available in the immediate days to follow.

Then the Team Evad3rs will have ample time to prep for its next battle - prying inside of the next iOS build. If the core functions and features of the iOS 7.2/8 will replicate that of the iOS 7.1, the waiting time for a working untethered jailbreak should be considerably shorter next time around.

But of course, all the dirty works can only begin as soon as Apple writes finish to all the iOS 7.2 or iOS 8 coding.

Meantime, there is no reason for jailbreak fans to become restive as the Evasi0n7 is behaving nicely and in full collaboration with Cydia, which has been the case from build 1.0.1 to present.
