As the TomKat divorce news gets hotter as the days go by, some former members of the Scientology religion start emerging to express how much Holmes can win her custody case for their child, Suri.

Mark Rathbun, who left the religion in 2004 after having spent 22 years with the group, said that the former 'Dawson's Creek' star can 'blow wide open' the most controversial spots of the religion. According to Rathbun's interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he used to be Tom Cruise's auditor and even handled his case of divorce with ex-wife Kidman.

"He (Tom) should just try to settle his way out of it. She could press this sole-custody issue and litigate it and that would be the biggest nightmare in the Church of Scientology's history. It would be a circus they couldn't survive," Rathbun said.

He added that Holmes is doing a strategy that Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard teaches his members: "Attack, don't defend." Another former scientologist Karen De La Carriere also told The Hollywood Reporter that what's good about Holmes is her focus on keeping her child and away from the practices of the religion.

Holmes is legally scared for her little daughter and it is clear she does not want Suri to end up the same as the adopted children of Cruise and ex-wife, Nicole Kidman. It was once rumoured before that Kidman did not agree with how Cruise wanted to raise their adopted children.

"By filing for sole custody of Suri, she's making it very clear she's not going to let what happened with Nicole Kidman happen to her," De La Carriere added.

Nicole Kidman Remains Distant From The TomKat Divorce Issues

According to close sources, the Oscar Award winning actress is settled to keep silent about the failing marriage of ex-hubby Tom Cruise. She was married to the actor from 1990 to 2001 and eventually ended up in divorce as well.

As per the source, Kidman wishes that everything goes well for both Katie and Tom when all these come to an end.
